Pork & Beans: Majestic delicacy of the gods

When I think about Pork & Beans, I immediately transport myself to a Monday evening many years ago, arriving home after school and being able to smell the greates aroma you could ever dream of, a combination of beans, pork, avocado, roasted tomato sauce, radish, corn tortillas... Everything that represent us as Mexicans and specially Yucatequians.

Of course I knew I would eat more than what my stomach can resist but I didn't care


Pork & Beans is traditionally cooked on Mondays because It's normally cooked in big portions and the whole family could eat it for a couple of days transforming it into different dishes like Refried beans, Enchiladas, Nachos, Tacos, or just eated with scrambled or fried eggs or like a beans soup or anything your creativity tells you.


Originally from Yucatan, Mexico, this nutritious plate, fills the Familly with joy, while mixing a big amount of diferent side dishes and creating the best moments to exchange talks and laughters to begin the week with energy and good mood.
